First batch of Drupal Interns successfully completed their internship at Zyxware, Jun 2013

We have been offering short term internships to students in different areas of our operations. In the past we have been primarily offering internships in non-drupal related tasks. This year we had offered internships to a batch of students from RV College of Engineering for working with our development team and learn Drupal. We are happy to announce that the first batch of students have successfully completed their internship this month.

We had conducted a Drupal workshop at RV College of Engineering last year and the idea about an internship was discussed at that point of time. Till date we were not sure if we would be able to take students through the riguour of training them in Drupal development and get them to become able Drupal developers during a short internship. We went ahead and decided to give it a try.

We shortlisted a team of students from RV College and took them through our standard selection process. Selected candidates were taken through our introductory Drupal sessions and were then made to work on basic Drupal tasks. Once they were comfortable they were guided to work on an HR management project based on Drupal.

We are hoping to run the internship program again next year and we are looking forward to interacting with more smart students who are interested in becoming Drupal developers and hopefully Drupal contributors.
