Zyxware Volunteers for Free Software Free Society Conference 2008
Continuing the good work we have been doing in the area of Free Software we had recently volunteered our team and resources for the Free Software Free Society International Conference on Freedom in Computing, Development and Culture. The conference was a resounding success in terms of the exposure that it gave to Free Software to the public in Kerala (primarily over internet and media) and more importantly the exposure it gave to the Free Software community in Kerala to the International Free Software Community.
In addition to the conference there was a Freedom Expo where Free Software communities in Kerala show-cased their community contributions and government departments and government organizations highlighted their Free Software based applications. Zyxware had volunteered 4 people, including Anoop John, CEO and Joju Joshua, Manager Operations, to man the stall of GNU/Linux Users Group of Trivandrum along with other community members. Additionally the stall also displayed the pride of our community - the First Freedom Toaster in India. Zyxware had earlier volunteered to develop the website for FSFS.in free of cost.
