Why you need to go to DrupalCon Dublin?
DrupalCon Dublin is right around the corner, and the preparations are going full steam ahead. DrupalCon is like a Carnival that has come to town for the Drupal developers especially those in Europe. The excitement is rocketing sky high with a thousand and one things to get done before the 26th of September. The conference is to be held at The Convention Centre Dublin, Ireland from 26th September to the 30th September.
The who’s who of Drupal will be there. It is a great chance to meet up with other Drupal enthusiasts including Drupal developers, system engineers, designers, project managers, functional analysts, and documentation specialists, along with media and business people keen on promoting Drupal and leveraging their business with Drupal. DrupalCon is usually held 2 or 3 times a year in different parts of the world. It is all the more significant since this is the first time it is being held in Europe after the release of Drupal 8.
Training sessions on the 26th of September
The excitement is palpable with a record-breaking 621 session submissions. Six training courses have been planned, with two on the 26th of September from 9-5 pm. This time, also, we can look forward to an eventful DrupalCon with sessions, BoF’s, summits, hallway track conversations, social events, exhibitor fun, and much more.
There’ll be more than 140 sessions and three keynotes. The pre-note by Dries Buytaert is on the 27th of September at 8:00 am local time.
Community Keynote on 29th September
For the Community Keynote, Eduardo Garcia known as Enzo has been chosen. For the past few months, he has been traveling around the world, attending various Drupal events and camps. In his keynote, he’ll be talking about three topics from his journey:
- Community engagement now and how to do better.
- Language barrier breakdown: Introduction to Drupal multilingual and accessibility for people around the world.
- Connecting with people who travel to different Drupal communities
Birds Of a Feather Sessions
Birds of feather sessions (or BOFs) are informal gatherings of people who wish to discuss specific issues relating to regular conference sessions and talk out common problems facing the community.
Core Conversations Track
Brainstorming sessions inviting open questions, discussions forming the base for ongoing development in Drupal core.
