Transforming University Education with cloud-based learning management system.
This era is marked by a constant technological breakthrough that repeatedly disrupts the business world. Professionals constantly re-educate themselves to outdo competition at a workplace. More than ever, Universities are facing fierce competition from online learning platforms that offer short, stackable certificate programs; and or blended online courses of great value.
At the other end, learning facilitators at universities are equally bogged down by the rate at which course materials are becoming obsolete. In addition to the above, the average life expectancy in most countries is expected to rise and many of these professionals are expected to be working way into their 70s. Institutions of higher excellence are faced with an immediate need to revamp their programs for the changing workforce demands.
Due to the increased competition of courses online, universities will have to design course materials that not only different but also offer significant and measurable value, in comparison to their competition. Faced with this complex challenge, universities try to integrate online-based learning management systems ground up.
Drawing insights from the field of neuroscience, which examines how people learn and change behavior – cloud-based learning management systems were designed that not only provide relevant content through an online interface but also reinforce concepts learned; with adequate spacing, repetition, and sequencing to accelerate memorization; Periodical intervals along with change format of delivery is changed to retain active engagement of the learner.
Adaptability to business scenarios with case studies was another crucial skill. Participants were asked to apply concepts learned using problem-solving techniques across different sectors and evaluated their ability to adapt.
Cloud-based collaboration systems were designed around the learning management system so that participants could group into teams, process new knowledge, and practice their skills together.
In addition, coaching instructors were specially trained to imbibe and stimulate emotional connect with individual participants, follow up on their aspirations, and help visualize success amidst workplace challenges.
