Mythbuntu 12.04 is a new update of the specialist Ubuntu sub-project with a focus on setting up a standalone MythTV system. Mythbuntu 12.04 has been released now. It is very important to note that this release is only compatible with MythTV 0.25 systems. The MythTV component of previous Mythbuntu releases can be upgraded to a compatible MythTV version by using the Mythbuntu repositories. Highlights: MythTV 0.25; starting with 12.04, the Mythbuntu team will only be doing LTS releases; enable MythTV and Mythbuntu Updates repositories directly from the Mythbuntu Control Centre without needing to install the mythbuntu-repos package; Mythbuntu theme fixes.
About Mythbuntu
Mythbuntu is an Ubuntu-based distribution and live CD focused upon setting up a standalone MythTV system similar to KnoppMyth or Mythdora. It can be used to install a standalone frontend, backend, or combination machines. Mythbuntu uses Xfce as its default desktop and provides a graphical Control Centre to configure the system.
