Another model of laptop in HP-Compaq's Presario V3000 series product line is Presario V3172AU. The manufacturer has stopped shipping driver CDs along with the box. In their website, you can find all drivers of the same laptop for Windows Vista. They do not provide drivers for Windows XP. You will not be able to install XP without proper drivers.
